Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Split and dehusked masoor dal 1/4 cup
  2. Split urad dal 1/2 cup
  3. Chana dal 1/2 cup
  4. Chopped onion 1
  5. Sliced onion 1
  6. Tomato sliced 1
  7. Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
  8. Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
  9. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  10. Degi mirch 1 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
  12. Garam masala 1 tsp
  13. Dried methi leaves 1 tbsp
  14. Coriander leaves chopped 2tbsp
  15. Green chillies cut in halves 4-5
  16. Salt to taste


  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker,add ginger, garlic,turmeric, chopped onions tomatoes saute till oil separates.
  2. Then add 6 cups of water bottle and all the dals,salt.
  3. Cover with lid and cook for half an hour or till 7-8 whistles on high heat
  4. Heat 3tbsp oil in a pan,add cumin seeds,red chilli powder, green chilli,sliced onions and tomatoes saute for five to six minutes
  5. Now add the cooked dal,simmer for 8-10 minutes
  6. Add methi ,garam masala and then coriander leaves.
