My all time comforting breakfast . Would love to have them for lunch / dinner / anytime. Aloo and poori combination , a pleaser.

Aloo Curryleaf Poori

Ingredients to make Aloo Curryleaf Poori

  • wheat flour 2 cups
  • potato medium sized 3 boiled and finely grated
  • salt 1/4 teaspoon or as per taste
  • turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Green chilli chopped a teaspoon
  • cumin seeds 3/4 teaspoon
  • Ajwain 1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Dry mango powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • water as required
  • Curryleaves 2 sprigs finely chopped
  • Cooking oil for deep frying

How to make Aloo Curryleaf Poori

  1. In a wide bowl, take wheat flour , salt, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, ajwain .
  2. Add the remaining dry powders.
  3. Add the finely chopper curry leaves.
  4. Add the finely grated potatoes. Grating is a must . Finely grated potatoes gives puffy pooris.
  5. Gather and knead ingredients into a smooth semi firm dough. Add water if required to knead .
  6. Brush dough with oil .
  7. Divide dough into equal medium sized balls.
  8. Flatten into small rotis .
  9. Heat oil in a deep wok .
  10. Drop pooris one by one in hot oil and fry pooris .
  11. Crispy outside soft inside pooris are ready.
