Ingredients to make Seviyan

  • Vermicelli 1 cup
  • Milk 6 cups
  • cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  • Brown sugar 4 tbsp
  • Milk powder 3 tbsp
  • water 1 cup

How to make Seviyan

  1. Roast vermicelli till brown.
  2. Add water, bring to a boil and cook on low heat till most of the water is absorbed.
  3. Add milk, cook on high heat stirring constantly.
  4. When milk begins to thicken, add cardamom powder and milk powder.
  5. When vermicelli and milk are mixed well together turn of the heat and add sugar.
  6. Tastes best when warm.

My Tip:

If kheer becomes too thick then you can add a little warm milk.
