Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 gm Dosa batter made a day before ( 1:3 ratio of urad dal and rice soaked for 4 hrs and ground smooth)
  2. Finely chopped red onions one cup
  3. Finely chopped coriander 1/4 cup
  4. Finely chopped fresh chilli one (optional)
  5. Soaked moong dal ( soak it 1hr before preparing)
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Cooking oil to shallow fry paniyaaram
  8. Paniyaaram tava

Instructions

  1. Take the dosa batter, add chopped onions, chopped coriander, chopped chilli and moong dal to the batter
  2. Heat the paniyaaram tava to medium heat, grease with little cooking oil and using a spoon pour the batter evenly into each of the slots
  3. Pour very little oil in each slot, cover it with a lid leaving enough space for the paniyaaram to fluff out
  4. After 2-3 min , check if the paniyaaram reached to a golden brown colour and turn them upside down
  5. After a minute, take them out into a serving plate
  6. Serve the piping hot paniyaaram with your favourite pickle or chutney powder or chutney
