Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cooked Toor Dhall - 1/4 Cup
  2. Grated Mango Ginger - 2 Tbsp
  3. Dried Mango - 4 Pieces
  4. Tamarind - A small marble sized
  5. Peppercorns - 1/2 Tsp
  6. Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
  7. Garlic Cloves - 2 (Pounded)
  8. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
  9. Hing - 1/4 Tsp
  10. Salt - 1 Tsp
  11. Ghee - 1 Tsp
  12. Mustard - 1/2 Tsp
  13. Red Chillies - 2 (broken)
  14. Curry Leaves - Few
  15. Water - 2 Cups

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried mango in warm water for 5 minutes.
  2. Grind the soaked Mangoes with Peppercorns, cumin seeds and tamarind to a paste.
  3. Heat a Tsp of ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
  4. Add broken red Chillies, grated Mango Ginger and pounded garlic, sauté.
  5. Add cooked Toor Dhall, ground paste, 2 cups of water, hing, turmeric,curry Leaves and Salt.
  6. Cook and bring it to boil.
  7. Switch off and serve hot.
