ABOUT Amritsari paneer tikka RECIPE

This is the most yummiest and easiest starter recipe of Amritsar. This is quite similar to paneer pakoda. But in these tikkas are marinated with spices and then shallow fry in pan not dip fry.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 gm paneer
  2. 3 tsp besan
  3. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  4. 1 tsp chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  6. 1/4 tsp carom seeds
  7. 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder
  8. 1 tsp lemon juice
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. 1/5 cup water ( as needed)
  11. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  12. 4 tsp oil
  13. Some chopped coriander leaves


  1. Cut the paneer into cube sizes.
  2. Take all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Then mix the lemon juice in it.
  4. Add water slowly as per required.
  5. The batter must not be too much thick.
  6. Marinate all the paneer pieces in it.
  7. Heat a pan and add oil in it and then put the marinated paneer pieces in it.
  8. When one side becomes golden brown in colour then flip them to the other side.
  9. Continue this process with the remaining paneer with the remaining oil in the pan.
  10. Now your Amritsari paneer tikkas are ready. Serve hot with green chutney.
