Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 gms paneer ( thickly sliced)
  2. 4tbsp gram flour
  3. 1/4tsp carom seeds
  4. 1/4tsp Turmeric powder
  5. 1/2tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1tsp Lemon juice
  7. 1.5 tsp ginger garlic paste
  8. Salt
  9. 1-2 tbsp water (as required)
  10. 3tbsp oil for shallow frying


  1. In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients except oil and paneer slices.
  2. Mix well to form a smooth lump free batter.
  3. Now add paneer slices to the marinade and coat well. Cover the bowl and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Now add 3tbsp oil into a heavy bottomed griddle.
  5. Once the oil is medium hot put the paneer slices on the griddle and cook till golden and crisp.
  6. Flip over and cook the other side.
  7. Remove on kitchen paper towel and serve with mint chutney.
