Ingredients to make Malpua

  • Plain flour 1 cup
  • Khoya 1/2 cup
  • fennel powder 1/2 tsp
  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • curd 3 tbsp
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • water 1/4 cup
  • ghee or oil for frying. I used ghee.

How to make Malpua

  1. In a bowl take plain flour , add cardamom powder, fennel powder, khoya,curd and water. Add water slowly till you get thick and sticky batter.
  2. Now in a pan take sugar and water . Boil till you get one string consistency. Add cardamom powder to it.
  3. Heat ghee . Add soda to the batter. With the spoon make round pancakes in pan. Fry till golden brown. Take out and deep in sugar syrup. Take out and garnish with pistachios and almonds.
