Mysore Pak

Ingredients to make Mysore Pak

  • besan 1/2 cup
  • sugar 3/4 cup
  • Desi ghee 1 cup
  • water 1/2 cup
  • Grated pistachio for garnishing

How to make Mysore Pak

  1. Sieve besan &make sure there are no lumps.
  2. Make 1 string syrup with water and sugar.
  3. Grease a thali.
  4. Add besan in syrup.
  5. Add small quantity of ghee in syrup.
  6. Stir continuously on low heat for 2 minutes.
  7. Add another small quantity of ghee.
  8. Stir again for 2 minutes.
  9. You will see that the mixture starts to become frothy and changing colour.
  10. Add the remaining ghee and keep stirring.
  11. Keep stirring till more froth appears for 2-3 minutes.
  12. Remove from heat.
  13. Pour in greased thali and spread evenly.
  14. Garnish with pistachio.
  15. Cool it and cut in desired shape.

My Tip:

Keep an eye it should not be more frothy because it becomes dry.
