About Tawa Fish Fry Masala Recipe

Drizzle some lemon and eat with onions, oh la la!! The melt in your mouth fish does the magic! I remember my father making this very often but then in between I lost touch with the fish after he passed away. But then my wife rekindled my love with this fish fry and I am so happy about it.

Tawa Fish Fry Masala

Ingredients to make Tawa Fish Fry Masala

  • Rohu (Carpo) fish cut into slices like you see in picture.
  • salt
  • turmeric Powder
  • lime juice.
  • Chaat masala

How to make Tawa Fish Fry Masala

  1. Marinate the fish in salt, tumeric and lime juice for about 10-15 minutes. Coat it nicely, give it a nice rub with the masalas.
  2. Now heat oil on a non-stick tawa (flat pan). It is Tawa Fry Fish, so got to use the tawa, right?
  3. Cook the fish for 5-7 minutes on each side on medium heat.
  4. That's it. the fish is done.
  5. Now serve it with onion rings. Drizzle some lemon juice and chaat masala.
  6. Eat it with your favorite drink. Mine is a Scotch. ;-)

My Tip:

To ensure it is cooked, just test cook one piece. Note the time took to cook it and then follow the same for rest of the fish. This will ensure that you do not have under cooked fish.
