Mustard Egg

Ingredients to make Mustard Egg

  • Boiled egg-4 (cut into halves)
  • Black mustard -2teaspoon
  • yoghurt -1 tablespoon (beaten )
  • Green chili paste-1 teaspoon
  • oil -2 tablespoons
  • water -1/4cup
  • coriander leaves-1/4cup ( chopped )

How to make Mustard Egg

  1. Pit mustard in blender (without water),blend it on low speed for 3-4 seconds.Open the lid of the blender, add 1/4cup water and blend it again for 3-4 seconds
  2. Take a pan,heat oil,add egg pieces, fry until light brown. Take out from the pan and keep aside
  3. In the meantime, mix mustard paste with beaten yogurt, add this to the remaining oil,add green chili paste, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes. When the gravy will start boiling, simmer the gas ,add fried eggs pieces. Mix and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Switch off the heat ,add chopped coriander leaves and slited green chilies.
  5. If you using mustard oil pour 1/4 teaspoon oil from the top.
  6. Your mustard egg is ready

My Tip:

You can use English muatard sauce instead of mustard paste.
