Dry Coconut Chutney

Ingredients to make Dry Coconut Chutney

  • 3 dried coconut
  • 2-3 tsp red chilli powder
  • 25-30 pods of garlic
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida powder
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp jaggery powder
  • salt to taste

How to make Dry Coconut Chutney

  1. Cut the coconut into medium sized pieces and blend/mince in a blender to form a coarse powder.
  2. Heat a little oil and add in the mustard seeds and asafoetida till it splutters. Make a powder form of this coarsely.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

My Tip:

Ensure that all ingredients are completely dry. The mixer jar also needs to be dry. Chutney is a great accompaniment to go along with bread, dosa or roti.
