Veggie Penne

Ingredients to make Veggie Penne

  • Penne pasta 100 grams
  • onion finely chopped 2 medium
  • tomato finely chopped 2
  • capsicum chopped in 1/2 inch squares 1 large
  • ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  • oil 2 tablespoon
  • Black pepper powder 2 pinches
  • Bhuna jeera powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • tomato ketchup 3 tablespoon
  • Oregano mix 1/4 teaspoon
  • Shredded cheese 1 cube
  • salt as per taste
  • Water to boil the pasta

How to make Veggie Penne

  1. Keep water for boiling in a pan, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Once the water starts boiling, add the pasta and boil for 10 mins or till the pasta becomes soft. Drain water from the past. Wash it with cold water and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in another pan. Add the onions and saute till the onions turn translucent.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away. Add in the capsicum and saute. Close the lid and let the capsicum cook a little or till it's half cooked.
  4. Next add the tomatoes, saute till the tomatoes are cooked. Add in the pepper powder, bhuna jeera and salt as per taste. Mix it well. Add in the tomato ketchup. Add in the cooked pasta and mix it well till the veg mixture sticks to the pasta. (Do not let the pasta break.)
  5. Serve it hot in a dish topped with shredded cheese and oregano mix.
