Hakka Noodles

Ingredients to make Hakka Noodles

  • Noodles 1 packet (150 gms)
  • onion 1 cut into big pieces
  • Chopped veggies of your choice 3 cups (i have used bell pepper, carrot, spring onion, capsicum)
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • chilli sauce 2 tbsp
  • vinegar 1 tbsp
  • ginger finley chopped 1 tsp
  • garlic chopped 2 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Oil 3 tbsp (olive oil/sesame oil )

How to make Hakka Noodles

  1. Boil noodles in a broad pan with 5 cups of water, a little salt and oil. (As per the instructions on the packet) Don't overcook it.
  2. Strain and rinse with cold water. Then keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a broad pan. Add in the ginger, garlic and saute. Then add in all the veggies and toss well.
  4. Add in the salt, soya sauce, chilli sauce and vinegar.
  5. Finally add in the noodles and stir fry for about 1 minute.
  6. Serve hot with a garnish of green spring onion.

My Tip:

You can use any oil but it tastes best with olive/sesame oil. While boilng the noodles, cook 90% but don't overcook it.
