Chura Matar

Ingredients to make Chura Matar

  • Thick variety of chiwra 1.5 cups
  • Green peas 2 cups
  • cumin seeds 2 tsp
  • garlic minced 3 cloves
  • Gree chillies minced 4
  • sugar 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 2 tsp
  • Milk 2 tsp
  • ghee 2 tsp
  • cashews and raisins 1 tbsp roasted

How to make Chura Matar

  1. Rinse the chiwra through a strainer and drain well
  2. Heat oil in a kadhai and add cumin Seeds.
  3. Now add minced chillies and garlic and fry it
  4. Add green peas and cover it and cook it for few minutes
  5. Open it and add sugar,salt,garam masala and black pepper powder and again cover it
  6. When peas are cooked add chiwra and mix well and cover it
  7. Open it and add milk and ghee and mix well
  8. Turn off the flame and serve it by garnishing with cashew and raisin

My Tip:

Adding ghee at last makes the dish taste better
