A simple rasam which lavishly pampers your taste buds

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Tomatoes - 4 medium size
  2. Garlic cloves peeled - 9
  3. Handful of Coriander leaves
  4. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  5. Oil 1 tsp
  6. salt as per taste
  7. Sambar powder 1 tbsp
  8. Curry leaves - a few

Instructions

  1. Take a vessel and boil tomatoes with little water. Then cool it.
  2. Strain the tomatoes from the vessel and grind with garlic and Coriander leaves do not throw the boiled water.
  3. Add the ground mixture, salt and sambar powder to the boiled water. Mix well and keep for boiling. Add water if the mixture is thick to get the desired consistency for rasam.
  4. Season with mustard and curry leaves once boiled.
  5. Serve hot with rice.
