Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mushrooms - 200 grams cleaned and sliced
  2. Oil for Deep frying
  3. For batter -
  4. All Purpose Flour - 4 tbsp
  5. Cornflour - 4 tbsp
  6. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Water - 1 cup or as required
  9. For sauce -
  10. Oil - 1 tsp
  11. Onion - 1 medium size chopped
  12. Garlic - 4 cloves chopped
  13. Green chilli - 1 chopped
  14. Capsicum - 1 medium size chopped
  15. Carrot - 1 chopped
  16. Tomato Ketchup - 1 tbsp
  17. Soya sauce - 1 tsp
  18. Vinegar - 1 tsp
  19. Salt to taste
  20. Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  21. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  22. Spring Onions - 3 chopped finely
  23. Water as needed
  24. Cornflour - 1 tbsp mixed with 3 tbsp of water

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients for batter. The batter should be little thick. Coat all the mushrooms in this. Fry in hot oil till golden. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add in garlic, onions, green chillies. Saute for a min.
  3. Add in bell peppers and saute for 2 to 3 mins.
  4. Now add in all the sauces, vinegar pepper, salt, sugar and mix well.
  5. Add in water and bring it to a boil.
  6. Add in cornflour slurry and mix well. When it comes to boil, low down the heat. After 5-6 mins when you get the perfect consistency, switch off the flame.
  7. Add in fried mushrooms and mix well.
  8. Now add in spring onion and mix.
  9. Serve hot with fried rice.
