These buns are made on a pan,without oven,with garlic, butter & mixed herbs.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida 1 cup
  2. Yeast 1/4 tsp.
  3. sugar 1tsp
  4. Salt,1/4 cup warm water
  5. Butter 2 tbsp
  6. Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  7. Mixed dry herbs 1tsp


  1. Mix butter, garlic, herbs and a little salt . Keep aside. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water (or a little less,)mix sugar also. Leave it for sometime. When it ferments, add that mixture to maida,along with oil & salt. Make a smooth dough. Leave for 3 hrs.
  2. Then take whole dough & roll into a big ,a little more thick chappathi. Spread butter garlic mixture. Then roll it tightly. Cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Flatten a little with fingers. Apply a little oil in the pan & wipe it. Place the balls in the pan, leaving a little space in between. Cover and leave to rise for 2 hrs.
  3. Then it becomes double in size. Cover the pan & Cook on a low flame for 7-8 min. Check the bottom, if it is light brown in colour, turn each one & cover & cook for 3-4 min.
  4. Use the left over garlic mixture to spread on top.
