Ingredients to make Urlele Crispies

  • Boiled potato 1 large ( or old aloo sabji)
  • onion 1 large, finely chopped
  • carrot 1 grated
  • cauliflower 50gms grated
  • cabbage 50 gms finely chopped
  • green chillies - to taste
  • ginger -1" piece grated
  • garlic 2 pods crushed
  • Rava 2 tbsp
  • salt - to taste
  • tomato paste - 2 tbsp
  • Bread 2 slices
  • besan 3 tbsp
  • Eno - 1 tsp
  • water to bind

How to make Urlele Crispies

  1. Mash the boiled potatoes. Add all other grated vegetables, chillies, ginger, garlic, tomato paste, salt and mix well. Add the rava, besan and mix again. Soak the bread in some water and mash the slices. Add this mashed bread to the mix. Mix well.
  2. Mix the Eno in some water and add to the mix. Mix well again. Add as much water as required.
  3. In a frying pan, heat oil well.
  4. Make small balls of the mix.
  5. Deep fry the balls till golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with sauce or chutney

My Tip:

You can use all leftovers including thick dal, rice.
