Palak Rice

Ingredients to make Palak Rice

  • palak 1 1/2 cup
  • Cooked rice 2cup
  • Green chili 4-5 (As per your taste)
  • ginger 1/2inch
  • garlic 6-7
  • tomato 1
  • salt
  • haldi 1/4tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/4tsp
  • onion 1
  • curry leaves
  • coriander leaves 2-3tsp
  • ghee 1tsp
  • oil 2sp
  • Ajino moto (Chinese salt)a pinch(optional)
  • Shezwan fried rice powder 1tsp(optional)

How to make Palak Rice

  1. Boil spinach in hot water for 2-3 min and drain the spinach and keep it aside.
  2. In a blender, add spinach, coriander, green chili , ginger , garlic,tomato and blend it to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat oil and ghee in a cooking vessel, add the sliced onions and curry leaves.Saute for 4 minutes. Now add ground paste and saute further for 5 minutes. Then add salt, red chilli powder,haldi, ajino moto and Shezwan fried rice powder mix well. At last add cooked rice and mix well and check the seasoning.
  4. Serve hot with raita or any curry of your choice or simply enjoy the delicious palak rice .
