Carrot Vada

Ingredients to make Carrot Vada

  • carrot medium sized 3
  • onion big 1
  • green chillies 3
  • curry leaves and coriander leaves for garnishing
  • salt
  • oil for frying
  • besan flour 3tbsp

How to make Carrot Vada

  1. Grate the carrots . finely chop the onions and green chillies
  2. Mix the carrots,onions,green chillies,curry leaves,coriander leaves and salt together.
  3. Allow it to rest for 10mins.Salt and onion would give out water.drain the water.
  4. Then add in besan flour and mix well
  5. Shape it and deep fry it in hot oil as we do so for other vadas

My Tip:

Besan flour can be replaced with roasted gram flour. Do not add too much of flour. it tends to break the vada while frying
