Eggless Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Red Velvet Cake

  • For the cake -
  • butter - 1/4 cup (at room temperature)
  • Powdered sugar - 1/3 cup
  • Vanilla extract-1 tsp
  • Thick cream - 2 tbsp
  • Milk-1/4 cup
  • Edible Red food colouring - 1/4 tsp
  • flour 1 cup and 1 tbsp
  • Cocoa Powder 1 tbsp
  • Baking powder-1 tsp
  • baking soda-1/2 tsp
  • salt-a pinch
  • For the frosting-
  • butter 1 cup (at temperature)
  • Powdered sugar 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract-1 tsp
  • Dry cherry 1 cup
  • White Chocolate Layers for garnishing

How to make Eggless Red Velvet Cake

  1. Grease a round cake tin, preheat oven to 160 degrees C. Beat together the butter and sugar till creamy. Add cream and vanilla extract and mix well.
  2. Add milk, red food colour and mix well. Keep some aside. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda. Add it to the batter. Mix to get a lump free batter.
  3. Pour the batter into the greased tin and bake at 160 degrees C for 30 minutes. Cool the cake completely.
  4. BEAT BUTTER,SUGAR AND VANILLA EXTRACT TOGETHER FOR 5-6 MINUTES TO MAKE A CREAMY MIXTURE AND KEEP IN REFRIGERATOR.
  5. Remove the cake from the tin and cut into three layers. Apply frosting to each layer and cover the whole cake
  6. Coarsely grind cherry and sprinkle on the cake. Decorate with white chocolate. Keep in the refrigerator and serve when cold.

My Tip:

I use dry cherry for the decoration of the cake
