Chick Peas Chaat

Ingredients to make Chick Peas Chaat

  • 250 grams chick peas
  • 1 bunch of lettuce (chinese)
  • 1-3spring onions
  • 1 -2 firm tomatoes
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp Chaat masala
  • 1 tbsp black salt
  • 1/2 inch piece ginger crushed/grated
  • salt to taste
  • 1 big lemon

How to make Chick Peas Chaat

  1. Soak Chickpeas minimum 8hrs or overnight
  2. Boil with some salt and ginger for 15 minutes
  3. Strain water and cool in a Colander
  4. Season lightly first with black salt
  5. Add chopped lettuce leaves and spring onions
  6. Add chopped tomatoes
  7. Add green chillies chopped
  8. Season with chaat masala
  9. Mix lightly but well , to let seasoning coat all chick peas with spices well
  10. Squeeze a big lemon and mix well lightly

My Tip:

Boil Chickpeas for 15 minutes. Pressure cook and open after 2-5 minutes
