Kachhi Haldi ka Achaar (Fresh Turmeric Pickle)

Ingredients to make Kachhi Haldi ka Achaar (Fresh Turmeric Pickle)

  • Fresh turmeric - 250 gms, julienned
  • green chillies - 10-12, slit lenghtwise
  • lemons - 2-3, cut into 8
  • lemon Juice - half cup, freshly squeezed
  • salt - according to taste

How to make Kachhi Haldi ka Achaar (Fresh Turmeric Pickle)

  1. Take a large glass bowl and combine the turmeric, green chillies and lemon pieces. Add salt.
  2. Next, add the lemon juice and stir well.
  3. Transfer everything to a sterile (clean and dry) glass jar and cover with its lid.
  4. Keep the pickle in sun for 4 days.

My Tip:

Ensure that all the ingredients and containers are absolutely dry before you start making the pickle. Shake the bottle once a day and keep it inside once the sun is gone.
