ABOUT Fresh Turmeric Ginger And Garlic Pickle RECIPE

This is very healthy pickle with little oil. Very useful for diabetics patients.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 200 gm- Fresh Turmeric, finely chopped
  2. 100 gm - Fresh Ginger, grated
  3. 100 gm - Garlic, crushed
  4. 20 gm - Red Chilli Powder
  5. 10 gm - Fenugreek Powder
  6. 25 gm- Mustard Dal
  7. 100 gm - Oil (I have used olive oil)
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. 10 gm - Fennel Seeds, crushed
  10. 10 gm - Haldi Powder
  11. 1/4 tsp - Asafoetida
  12. 10 gm - Onion Seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl place, grated ginger, chopped turmeric, crushed garlic and juice of two lemons. In another bowl keep all the masalas and salt ready.
  2. Now, heat oil in a pan and add onion seeds, asafoetida, fennel seed powder and turn off the gas and add mustard dal and crushed fenugreek seeds. Add haldi, chilli powder and salt.
  3. Mix and let it cool down completely. Now, add ginger, garlic and chopped turmeric. Mix them well. Add lemon juice and mix all the way through.
  4. Fill the pickle in a in sterilized jar and keep it in the fridge.
  5. Remove it one hour before consuming. Enjoy with Parathas, chappati and theplas.
