Ingredients to make Yummy gravy manchurian

  • For the Manchurian balls:
  • 1/2 cup - grated cabbage
  • 1 - grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup - grated cauliflower
  • 8-10 french beans finely chopped
  • 1 - capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - garlic chopped finely
  • maida - 1/4 cup
  • 1/4 cup - cornflour
  • 2 - breads (wet and squeezed)
  • Salt and white pepper as per taste
  • a pinch of ajinomoto
  • For the Manchurian sauce:
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 inch - ginger finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies finely chopped
  • 5-6 garlic cloves finely
  • 2-3 spring onion finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp - Soya sauce
  • 1 - tsp green chili sauce
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - sugar
  • a pinch of ajinomoto
  • 1/2 tsp - white pepper powder
  • a pinch of red colour
  • 3 tbsp - cornflour
  • 1/2 tbsp - white vinegar
  • 2 cups - water.

How to make Yummy gravy manchurian

  1. Manchurian balls: Mix all the ingredients given for making the manchurian balls. Make small balls and deep fry them.
  2. Manchurian sauce: Heat oil in a wok. Stir fry ginger, garlic for 1 minute. Add in the green chilies.
  3. Now add spring onion white portion only and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add soya sauce, green chili sauce, salt, white pepper, 1 tsp sugar, and ajinomoto.
  5. Mix 3 tbsp cornflour in one cup of water and stir into the wok. Add 1 more cup of water into it.
  6. Cook, stirring continuously until the sauce starts to thicken. Add vinegar and stir gently. Take a dish, place all the manchurian balls in it.
  7. Pour manchurian sauce on them.
  8. Give the manchurian balls time to soak in the gravy before serving.
  9. Garnish it with green part of spring onion. I used coriander leaves as spring onion was not available.

My Tip:

While frying balls first fry one ball. If it doesn't turn out good then add more cornflour in the mixture for binding.
