Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the Manchurian balls:
  2. 1/2 cup - grated cabbage
  3. 1 - grated carrot
  4. 1/2 cup - grated cauliflower
  5. 8-10 french beans finely chopped
  6. 1 - capsicum finely chopped
  7. 1 tsp - garlic chopped finely
  8. maida - 1/4 cup
  9. 1/4 cup - cornflour
  10. 2 - breads (wet and squeezed)
  11. Salt and white pepper as per taste
  12. a pinch of ajinomoto
  13. For the Manchurian sauce:
  14. 2 tbsp - oil
  15. 1/2 inch - ginger finely chopped
  16. 2-3 green chilies finely chopped
  17. 5-6 garlic cloves finely
  18. 2-3 spring onion finely chopped
  19. 1 Tbsp - Soya sauce
  20. 1 - tsp green chili sauce
  21. Salt to taste
  22. 1 tsp - sugar
  23. a pinch of ajinomoto
  24. 1/2 tsp - white pepper powder
  25. a pinch of red colour
  26. 3 tbsp - cornflour
  27. 1/2 tbsp - white vinegar
  28. 2 cups - water.

Instructions

  1. Manchurian balls: Mix all the ingredients given for making the manchurian balls. Make small balls and deep fry them.
  2. Manchurian sauce: Heat oil in a wok. Stir fry ginger, garlic for 1 minute. Add in the green chilies.
  3. Now add spring onion white portion only and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add soya sauce, green chili sauce, salt, white pepper, 1 tsp sugar, and ajinomoto.
  5. Mix 3 tbsp cornflour in one cup of water and stir into the wok. Add 1 more cup of water into it.
  6. Cook, stirring continuously until the sauce starts to thicken. Add vinegar and stir gently. Take a dish, place all the manchurian balls in it.
  7. Pour manchurian sauce on them.
  8. Give the manchurian balls time to soak in the gravy before serving.
  9. Garnish it with green part of spring onion. I used coriander leaves as spring onion was not available.
