This is a famous Sindhi dish where spicy chana dal is served with crispy puris.
Very nice sindhi dish
I love this.
Wash and soak chana dal for 30 minutes.
Now take dal in pressure cooker and add finely chopped ginger, turmeric powder and salt.
Add water (11/2 cup or little more than that) and allow two whistle on medium to high flame.
Now add other dry spices in the dal and mix well.
Next heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, once they crackle, add them in the dal.
On the other hand, take maida, salt, oil and nigella seeds in a bowl and knead a smooth dough. Allow to rest the dough for 1 hour.
Take out lemon size of balls and roll them to round circle of 4 to 5 cm diameter.
Now make small cut marks in that round circle using a knife.
Now deep fry them in oil until golden and crispy. Serve hot dal pakwan
