Masala Chai Kulfi

Ingredients to make Masala Chai Kulfi

  • 1 tsp tea powder
  • 2 cups Full fat milk
  • 1 tsp Chai masala
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 250 ml heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 can Condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp ground nuts(almonds, pistachios)
  • 1/2 tsp Chai masala for garnish (optional)

How to make Masala Chai Kulfi

  1. In a deep pan add tea powder, milk, sugar, chai masala. Bring this to a boil like regular tea.
  2. Strain the tea and set aside until completely cooled.
  3. In a deep bowl add the whipping cream and beat until soft peaks. Dump in condensed milk, cooled masala chai and whip again until everything is blend together.
  4. Pour this mixture into kulfi moulds,cover them and freeze for 6 hours to overnight until set and firm to touch.
  5. Demould the kulfi, garnish with chopped nuts and sprinkle with a dash of chai masala.
  6. I personally love to have, when it just starts to melt away rather than chilled.

My Tip:

Condensed milk can be replaced with Demerara sugar or granulated sugar as well. Salted pistachios are my favorite nuts to go with it.
