Ingredients to make Sev Barfi / Mithai

  • 1/2 liter milk
  • 350 gms sugar
  • 250 gms mava/khoya
  • 250 gms unsalted sev packet readymade
  • 2 tablespoons blanched and sliced nuts (almonds and pista)

How to make Sev Barfi / Mithai

  1. In a heavy bottom vessel add milk boil it. To this add crumbled khoya.
  2. Add sugar, stir it continuously till sugar dissolves and mixture becomes little thick.
  3. To this add crumbled khoya.
  4. Mix this for 10 minutes on slow flame.
  5. Now add unsalted sev.
  6. Mix continuously till it starts to leave the sides of vessel.
  7. Add slivered dry fruits.
  8. Grease thali with ghee
  9. Pour mithai and level it and keep for setting for 2 hours.
  10. Garnish with some slivered pistachios.
  11. Cut into pieces and enjoy.
