Banjari Gosht

Ingredients to make Banjari Gosht

  • 500 grm mutton
  • 200 grm onion
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp of garlic paste
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp of ginger paste
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 BLACK cardamom
  • 4-5 clove
  • 8-10 black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 and 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriender powder
  • 1 tsp coriender whole
  • 5 red chilli whole
  • 3/4 cup yogurt
  • salt to taste

How to make Banjari Gosht

  1. Heat oil in pan,now add whole garam masala in it
  2. now add sliced onion in it
  3. Saute the onion in it and stir it continuously.
  4. when onion is brown colour add washed and cut mutton pieces in it
  5. now add ginger and garlic paste in it.
  6. add turmeric powder in it.
  7. add coriender and red chilli powder in it and mix well.
  8. Now add salt in it and mix.
  9. if need add water and cover it to cook for 12-15 min and meanwhile stir it.
  10. in other side heat a pan add coriender seeds and whole red chilli in it and roast it till smell come,when roast separate red chilli from it.
  11. now crushed the roasted coriender seed
  12. when mutton cook add roast and pound coriender seeds and roast red chilli in it and cook again for 5-8 min.
  13. Finally add chopped fresh coriender leaves in it and mix well.
  14. now transfer it in serving plate and garnish with pound roasted coriender seeds and fresh coriender leaves over it and serve it with plain rice or chapatti.
