Solkadi Shots

Ingredients to make Solkadi Shots

  • Approximately 20 kokum pieces soaked in 2 cups of warm water
  • salt to taste
  • sugar tp taste
  • coconut extract of ½ coconut
  • 3 to 4 green chili crushed
  • 8 to 10 garlic crushed
  • Some coriander leaves finely chopped​
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Pinch of hing
  • Some curry leaves

How to make Solkadi Shots

  1. Mash the kokum very nicely in the water.
  2. Add green chilies, garlic, salt and sugar to taste.
  3. Mix everything nicely and sieve the mixture through a strainer.
  4. Add coconut milk to it.
  5. Add coriander leaves and mix well
  6. Heat oil in a tempering pan.
  7. Add hing and curry leaves.
  8. Add this to the solkadi.
  9. Let it chill down completely before you serve.

My Tip:

Soak Kokum for a good amount of time
