Ingredients to make Kala Jamun / Gulabjamun

  • crumbled paneer 1 cup
  • mawa / Khoya 1 cup
  • maida 2-3 tblsp
  • elaichi powder a pinch
  • sugar powder 1 tsp
  • For sugar syrup
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water half cup
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Ilaychi powder 1/4 tsp / rose essence
  • Badaam or pista flakes for decoration

How to make Kala Jamun / Gulabjamun

  1. First make one string sugar syrup. Using 1 cup sugar n Half cup water. Add lemon juice it will help to prevent sugar to crystallise. At last add elaichi powder and keep aside.
  2. In a big bowl add crumbled paneer and mawa. Rud it with hand till get soft n smooth. Add maida little by little. Make a smooth dough it will take around 8-10 mins.
  3. Make small balls from the dough. Fry in medium hot oil till dark brown colour.
  4. Take out n rest it for few mins on tissue paper.
  5. Add in sugar syrup. Rest it for 2-3 hrs. So that it absorbs the sugar syrup.
  6. Decorate with pista or badam flakes. Serve hot or cold.
