Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Soaked (2 hours) dhuli moong daal- 1 cup
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Suji 2 tsp
  4. Lemon juice 2 tsp
  5. Water as required
  6. Oil 2 tsp
  7. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  8. Green chilli 3-4
  9. Curry leaves 7-8
  10. White sesame seeds 1 tsp
  11. Baking soda 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Grind moong daal. Take it in the mixing bowl. Add suji, salt, lemon juice and 1/4 cup water. Keep for 5 minutes .
  2. Add baking soda. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Take a greased plate. Pour the mixture. Steam it for 10 minutes.
  4. For tempering take a pan. Add oil, put mustard seeds, sesame seeds, chilli and curry leaves. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour this on the steamed thali and spread evenly.
  6. Let it cool down. Cut in desired shape and serve with hot hot ginger tea.
