ABOUT Amla Chunda RECIPE

Amla chunda is a my dad's recipe.This Awla chunda goes very well with paranthas or even simple Daal Rice.Its sweet and have a pungent flavor of spices.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 200 gram - Amla
  2. 400 gram - Sugar
  3. 11/2 Cup - Water
  4. salt as per taste
  5. Black pepper powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  6. Rock salt as per taste
  7. Roasted Cumin Powder - 1 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash,wipe and grate the amlas.
  2. In a pan add water and sugar to make sugar syrup. Boil till you get 1 string consistency. Add grated amla in the sugar syrup.
  3. Boil it on the slow flame for 15 to 20 minutes till the amla and sugar syrup combine properly.
  4. Add salt, rock salt, cumin powder and black pepper powder in the chunda. Mix and cook till the amlas become soft and cooked properly. Turn off the gas and let the chunda cool.
  5. Take a jar and fill this amla chunda in the jar and keep it in refrigerator. You can store this in refrigerator for at least for 3 to 4 months.
