ABOUT Kanda Bhajji RECIPE

A roadside bhajji /onion fritters are in demand specially during monsoons.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Onions - 4, sliced
  2. Gram flour - 1/2 Cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Red chili powder - 1 tsp
  5. Haldi powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Dhania powder - 1 tsp
  7. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Take onions in bowl add salt, gram flour, turmeric powder, dhaniya powder, 2 tbsp of water and mix with fingers. Gram flour should be just right to coat the onions.
  2. Heat oil in a pan / wok and drop little batter a few times carefully. Don't crowd the pan. 5-6 at a time. Deep fry till crisp and golden brown in color.
  3. Remove in plate and serve hot with green chutney and ketchup.
