India is a place of festivals and celebrations, Navratri, Janmashtami is fasting festivals celebrate and enjoy with fasting food..so my recipe is specially dedicated to fasting people who fast constantly and searching new and healthy recipes for that. Samo rice dosa with beetroot and cottage cheese stuffing.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 /2 cup Samo rice
  2. 2 Cups Water
  3. 1/4 cup Curd
  4. 2 tbsp grated beetroot
  5. 1/4 cup grated cottage cheese/paneer
  6. 1 tsp chopped green chilli
  7. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  8. 1 bunch chopped coriander
  9. Fasting Salt to taste
  10. 1 tsp ghee/oil
  11. Ghee for shallow fry dosa


  1. First wash and soaked Samo rice in 2 cup water for an hour
  2. Grate beetroot
  3. Heat a pan add ghee when it hot enough add paneer green chilli salt black pepper and chopped coriander..Mix well. Switch off the flame. Keep this stuffing out in a bowl.let it cool.
  4. Now in blender or grinder add Samo rice add curd and a little water.blend it into a smooth paste.
  5. Adjust water as dosa better consistency.Add grated beetroot add grated ginger mix well.
  6. Heat a nonstick pan add 1 ladle full dosa batter spread it
  7. Add ghee/butter to roast it.Add paneer stuffing inside the dosa.
  8. Serve it with green coriander fasting chutney or curd beetroot dip.
  9. Garnish it with grated paneer, beetroot and chopped coriander.serve hot.
