Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Beetroot medium sized 1 nos
  2. Potato 2 nos
  3. Bread ( preferably brown bread) 3 slices
  4. Onion 1 nos
  5. Red chili powder 2 tbsp
  6. Chaat Masala 1 tbsp
  7. Jeera powder 2 tsp
  8. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  9. Fresh Coriander finely chopped 2 tbsp
  10. Semolina( sooji) to coat cutlets.
  11. Refined oil for shallow frying
  12. Salt


  1. Wash and peel the beetroot and grate in a bowl.
  2. Boil the potatoes, peel them and grate in the same bowl.
  3. Powder 3 slices of bread in the mixer and add it to the above mixture.
  4. Now add all the above ingredients expect semolina and oil.
  5. Mix well to make a dough. In a flat plate spread semolina and keep aside.
  6. Prepare cutlets and coat them with a thin layer of semolina on all sides.
  7. Heat a flat Tawa, place the cutlets and apply some oil.
  8. Cover it with a lid and let them cook on one side.
  9. Flip and apply oil again. Don't cover lid this time. Let them cook till done.
  10. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
