This is a curry when you have nothing at home to make but want something interesting, this cam be served with just some hot rice or even chapathi.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mota sev - 1 cup
  2. onion 1 chopped
  3. Green chillies 2
  4. mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  5. salt to taste
  6. tomato 1
  7. turmeric powder 1 tsp
  8. chilli powder 1 tsp.
  9. Garam masala powder optional -1/4 th tsp
  10. cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  11. asafoetida - 1/4 th tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat some oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida
  2. Add the chopped onion and saute till golden brown.
  3. Now add the green chillies and the chopped tomatoes. Cook till the tomatoes are mushy and the masala leaves oil.
  4. Now add salt, turmeric powder and the red chilly powder.
  5. Add water for gravy, once the gravy boils and is thick enough, add the sev. the sev should be added in the end so that it still remains crunchy. Serve hot.
