Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 kilogram thick curd (dahi)
  2. 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  3. few saffron (kesar) strands
  4. 1 tablespoon warm milk
  5. 2 teaspoon cardamom (elaichi) powder
  6. For the Garnish:
  7. pistachio slivers
  8. almond slivers


  1. Hang the curd in a muslin cloth in a cool place for approximately 3 hours until all the liquid (whey) has drained off.
  2. Put and mix the saffron into the warm milk until it dissolves.
  3. Mix together the hung curd, sugar, saffron mixture and cardamom in a bowl and churn using a hand blender.
  4. Refrigerate for sometime in a bowl or earthen pot and serve garnished with slivers of pistachicos and almonds.
