Very very tasty for idly and dosa.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Red chilly 10 numbers
  2. Shallots 10 numbers
  3. Coconut 2 tablespoon
  4. Curry leaves 3 tablespoon
  5. Hing a punch
  6. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Tamarind a lemon size
  9. Oil 5 tablespoon
  10. Mustard seed 1 teaspoon
  11. Urud dal 1 teaspoon


  1. Heat oil in a pan and add red chilly and fry it.
  2. Add shallots saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add curry leaves and coconut and continue sauteing.
  4. Add turmeric powder and salt.
  5. Switch off stove and let it cool.
  6. Grind it well and season it with mustard, urud dal and curry leaves and saute the ground paste for 2 minutes more.
