ABOUT Sacch Mucch Aam Whole Wheat Loaf and muffin Buns RECIPE

When I was small ( before 50 yrs), Our Baroda Dairy was making Fruit Breads. I still remember that taste. So today I am presenting this Mango bread. I am trying bread after almost 25 years. I do make Bhaturas so I really Enjoyed making this heart shaped Loaf. I served it by Cutting in Cake Sized Pieces.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Sacch Mucch Aam candy 1
  2. Whole wheat Flour 3 cups
  3. Butter 3 tbsp + 1 tbsp
  4. Dry Yeast 3 tsp
  5. Warm milk 1/2 cup + 1/2 cup water and milk mix.
  6. Sugar 3 tsp
  7. Salt 1 tsp
  8. Chia seeds soaked 2 tsp
  9. Sesame seeds roasted 1/2 tsp
  10. Raisins 10 to 12


  1. Soak Yeast in warm milk for 10 to 15 minutes. It will become frothy.
  2. Sift flour, salt and Sugar. Add butter to it. ( I have used salted butter so i have added 1/2 tsp salt)
  3. Take out Sacch h Mucch Aam candy from the refrigerator.
  4. Let it melt in a bowl.
  5. Add melted Aam to the flour mixture.
  6. Now add yeast and milk mixture. Add soaked Chia seeds.
  7. Knead the flour. Add more water and milk mixture only if needed. Transfer it in a pan. Cover it with a damp cloth.
  8. Keep it in warm place for 2 hrs or till it ferments.
  9. Take out from the pan and punch it with hand or mortar.
  10. Again apply butter/ Clarified butter to it, knead it, and fold it. Transfer it by applying enough butter / Clarified butter and keep covered for another 2 hrs. ( it's a cold weather so it may take time.)
  11. Preheat oven at 200 C. Take out a big ball of your flour. Knead between your palms.
  12. Grease your pan,( I have used heart shaped as I wanted to cut cake like pieces).
  13. Cut a tin sized Parchment paper and place in your tin. Grease it too.
  14. Spread your dough ball, press it with your palm to form a level.
  15. Bake in your preheated oven for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes you can reduce the temperature to 180 C.
  16. The aroma of your Aam bread will be so nice that you will be impatient to taste. Let it cool on the rack.
  17. And here is your baked wow bread
  18. I have also prepared some muffin buns from other half dough.
  19. For that Spread Raisins and Sesame seeds in the bottom of your muffin pan and than press a big dough ball in the muffin. ( don't forget to grease your muffin pans)
  20. Bake them in preheated oven at 200 C for 20 minutes.
  21. Let them cool, take out carefully and invert.
  22. So here is your JUST WOW bread basket.
