Ingredients to make LITTI

  • wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Carom seeds - a pinch
  • onion seeds - a pinch
  • salt to taste
  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  • curd - 2 tablespoon
  • ghee - 1/2 cup
  • water as requried
  • For stuffing
  • Roasted gram flour/sattu - 1 cup
  • onion diced - 1
  • Chopped green chilly - 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  • mustard oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped garlic cloves - 1 teaspoon
  • water - 5 tablespoon

How to make LITTI

  1. Take a large bowl add wheat flour,carom seeds,onion seeds,salt,curd,baking powder and salt and mix well
  2. Knead to make a stiff dough
  3. Cover the dough with muslin cloth and keep aside for 15 mins
  4. Mix all the ingredients in sattu with the help of water.
  5. The texture should be crumbly,keep aside.
  6. Divide the dough into equal size balls.
  7. On your palm, with the help of your finger expand and add 2 tbsp filling on it
  8. Wrap up the dough pieces and close from all sides.
  9. Now bake in microwave
  10. Place the litti on the high rack of microwave and bake it for ten mins till the top is brown
  11. Flip it and bake for five mins
  12. Take ghee in bowl and deep all the littis in this ghee
  13. Serve hot with murg curry.
