Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 small bunch spinach
  2. For koftas-
  3. 1 cup mashed paneer
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 15 raisins
  6. 2 teaspoon cornflour
  7. 2 tea spoon all purpose flour
  8. Oil for frying
  9. For tadka-
  10. 1 onion
  11. 1 tomato
  12. 1 piece ginger
  13. 2 green chilli
  14. 6-7 cloves of garlic
  15. 1/2 cup milk
  16. 1/2tea spoon turmeric powder
  17. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  18. Red chilli to taste
  19. Salt according to taste
  20. 1 table spoon oil


  1. Clean,wash, cut and boil spinach in pressure cooker for 10 minutes, sieve and grind with milk into smooth paste.
  2. Mash paneer and rub it with your palm till smooth,mix salt in it.
  3. Divide it into 8 equal parts.take one part and spread it on palm,fill some chopped raisins and shape it ovel or round.
  4. Repeat this process for all koftas.
  5. Mix cornflour and all purpose flour and make paste with water.dip koftas in it.
  6. And fry it in hot oil,remove it ,keep it on kitchen towel.koftas are ready
  7. For gravy- grind onion,tomato,ginger,garlic and green chilli into smooth paste.
  8. Heat oil in kadai and saute this paste till raw smell disappeared.
  9. Add salt ,red chilli,turmeric powder,garam masala and grind palak in it,let it cook on low flame for ten minutes.
  10. In serving plate arrange koftas and pour milky spinach over it and serve hot with nan or chapati
