Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ingredients for gravy:-
  2. Palak puree 2 cups
  3. Onion 1 medium
  4. Tomato chopped 2 medium size
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1Tsp
  6. Coriander powder 2tsp
  7. Black pepper powder 1/2Tsp
  8. Sugar 1/4 Tsp
  9. Milk 1/4 Cup
  10. Salt as required
  11. Ingredients for kofta:-
  12. Grated cabbage 1 cup
  13. Cumin seeds 1Tsp
  14. Red chilli powder 1Tsp
  15. Coriander powder 1Tsp
  16. Turmeric powder 1/4Tsp
  17. Garam masala 1/2Tsp
  18. Oil 2Tbsp
  19. Besan 1/4cup
  20. Salt as required

Instructions

  1. In a big bowl add grated cabbage,turmeric ,red chilli ,garam masala ,corianderpowder,cumin seeds and salt.
  2. Mix well and keep aside for about 15-20 minute.
  3. Kofta mixture would have become moist as the cabbage would have release it's water.
  4. Add besan and mix well.
  5. Heat appe pan and grease little oil in all the cavities.
  6. Make a round shape balls from prepared mixture and place in appe pan cavities.
  7. Cover and cook on medium flame for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Flip ,cover and cook from other side for 4-5 minutes.
  9. When done remove from the pan and keep aside.
  10. Heat oil in a non -stick kadai.
  11. Add chopped onions and cook until onions turned turntranslucent in color.
  12. Add Ginger garlic paste to the onion and fry for a minute.
  13. Add chopped tomatoes,salt and fry until tomatoes are mushy.
  14. Add palak puree ,sugar and mix well.
  15. Cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.
  16. Turn the flame to low and slowly add milk .
  17. Mix well and let it cook on low flame for about 2 minutes.
  18. Add garam masala and pepper powder mix well.
  19. Add the koftas,mix gently and turn off the gas.
  20. Serve with rice or chapati.
