ABOUT Methi Paratha RECIPE

Methi paratha is whole wheat fenugreek flat breads. a healthy breakfast recipe. These parathas can be served with curd,pickle, butter.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cup whole wheat flour (atta )
  2. 1 cup chopped methi leaves
  3. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  4. Salt as required
  5. 1 1/2 tsp ghee/Oil
  6. 1/2 cup Water for kneading
  7. Additional Ghee for roasting


  1. In a bowl mix the wheat flour salt, red chili powder and ghee. Add in methi leaves and water. Knead a smooth dough. Cover and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes
  2. Make medium sized balls of the dough. Dust surface with flour and roll the balls into rotis. Spread little ghee on top. Fold and press lightly then again roll it into a small thick paratha
  3. Heat the tawa. Place the Paratha on the hot tawa. Apply ghee and cook on both sides until golden brown. Serve hot with curd & pickle or gravy of your choice

Can I use butter in the place of ghee?
