Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups wheat flour
  2. 2 bunch methi leaves, chopped
  3. 2 onions, finely chopped
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  6. Water to knead dough
  7. Oil / ghee to drizzle


  1. Heat oil in a pan, add onions and saute till translucent
  2. Add chopped methi leaves saute till it changes color
  3. Add salt and add pepper powder. Mix well
  4. Allow mixture to cool.
  5. In a wide bottom dish , add flour, mixture , salt and water and mix. Knead to smooth dough
  6. Rest dough for 30 minutes
  7. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into parathas
  8. Heat tawa and shallow fry parathas until golden brown and crisp on both sides. Drizzle ghee/oil over top
  9. Serve hot with curd and pickles, or mayonnaise
