ABOUT Palak Ke Batashe RECIPE

Palak ke batashe is a colorful twist to the regular batashe. Palak ke batashe is a healthy version of the regular batashe we have. Batashe is nothing but the puri we have in pani puri. The addition of palak to the recipe adds color and flavor to the batashe. Palak ke batashe can be served along with aloo masala and masala pani.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Suji - 1 cup
  2. Oil - 1/4 cup + additional for deep-frying
  3. Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Palak puree - 1/2 cup


  1. In a big mixing bowl, add suji, oil and baking powder and mix well.
  2. Add warm palak puree and make a soft sticky dough.
  3. Rest the dough for 1 hour.
  4. Knead again for 5 minutes and make equal sized balls from the dough
  5. Heat oil in a pan, roll batashe in a cylindrical shape using a rolling pin and deep fry over medium-high flame.
  6. Palak ke batashe are ready to be served with boiled potatoes and masala water.
