About Lacha Paratha Recipe

A flaky and layered paratha that is very delicious.

Lacha Paratha

Ingredients to make Lacha Paratha

  • Whole wheat flour - 2 cups
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee/ butter - 1/2 cup
  • Warm water as required

How to make Lacha Paratha

  1. Make a dough from a mixture of the whole wheat flour, salt and warm water. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Roll a roti and spread ghee on it, then sprinkle dry flour on it.
  3. Start folding the roti in zig zag method or a fan folding method. Fold the roti and roll it once again.
  4. Cook these rotis on a tawa by applying oil on both sides.
  5. Serve hot with some pickle or chutney on the side.
