ABOUT a famous Sindhi style lotus stems spring onions mix veg RECIPE

green onions have a combination of the benefits of onions and greens. They are an excellent source of vitamin K and vitamin C, and a very good source of vitamin A too. Spring onions can be added with any veg here I used spring onions with lotus stems.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250g lotus stems
  2. finely 1/2kg spring onions
  3. finely chopped 3 tomatoes
  4. finely 2 green chillies
  5. finely chopped 2 green garlic cloves ( thoom)
  6. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  7. 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  8. pinch turmeric powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  10. 1/2 teaspoon garam massala
  11. salt to test
  12. 1/2 teaspoon garam massala
  13. 5 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. Wash the lotus stems thoroughly under the running water. Once the water dries from the stems and peel it. Cut the stems into small pieces in round shape.
  2. heat the oil in pan add cumin seeds and lotus stems cook until the lotus root Change colour
  3. now add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies along with all spices mix well
  4. now cover the pan with heavy lid and cook on low flame on 20 to 25 minutes
  5. then add finely chopped green garlic mix well cook 5 minutes more a
  6. spread garam massala to the end
  7. serve hot with white rice and roti
  8. spread garam massala on
